'Healthy Kids' Fall Step It Up Challenge

Thanks to our partners Fitbit we're offering schools throughout the country the ability to compete against each other for valuable prizes during our no-cost, virtual Healthy Kids Step It Up Challenge.

The school district team that racks up the most steps will win a $500 donation to a school program of their choice and a healthy team lunch worth $500.

Frequently Asked Questions: 

Q. Who's eligible to participate in the Healthy Kids Step It Up Challenge? 
All school employees and even students can join the fun as long as they have at least one school staff employee on the team! Remember, you need a minimum of 3 total participants to sign up!


Q. I don’t have a Fitbit, so am I allowed to participate? 
Yes, you can use a different device to track your steps. However, you’ll need to enter your actions manually on the Fitbit app or website. 

Q. How do I know if I registered adequately? 
will receive an email from us confirming that you’re registered and that you're ready to go! 

 Q. How do I manually log my steps? 
You can download the app to your smart device or add your steps on the Fitbit website.

Q. How do I join the Facebook Group page? 
Simply ask to join HERE.

Q. I have 10,000 steps every day, but my team's score is lower than that. Why? 
Your team score is an average for the two weeks of the Challenge across your whole team. 

Q. My Fitbit isn’t syncing to my app. 
Please tweet or chat with Fitbit technical support, or call (877) 623-4997. 

Q. Will Fitbit automatically convert other activities to steps? 
Except for a run, walk, and hike, activities are not converted into steps. You'll have to add your event manually.

Q. I accepted the invite, but don’t see the Challenge. 
The Challenge will not be visible to participants until it’s officially launched a few days before the start date.
